Robert C. Bergen received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1978 after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis in 1975. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Bergen joined the Public Defender’s Office in Sutter County, which provided extensive experience in litigation, including numerous jury trials.
Mr. Bergen has been practicing family law in Orange County since 1982. His practice is limited to family law matters. He has been appointed regularly by the Court to represent the interests of minor children in contested custody matters, as well as act as a Special Master/ Referee, to determine property and discovery issues. Mr. Bergen has served extensively as Judge Pro Tem in the Superior Court for family law division.
